I don’t know if this ever wasn’t a trend or if it’s just happened to be the choice of a lot of my engaged couples lately but taking their engagement photos at the same location as their wedding seems to be a thing lately. There’s a lot of perks for doing it in the same spot.

1.) You often get in free. Having your wedding at that location often gives you perks like free admittance, free parking, access maybe to spaces that normal attendees don’t get.

2.) A lot of people like using that location for their save the dates.

3.) Having your engagement pictures being at your wedding venue allows for you to take photos at more cool spots that you may not have time to get to on the wedding day that you love.

4.) I always encourage couples to go with spots that have memories for them. You may or may not have memories (yet) at your wedding venue but after engagement photos you will. And all the more after your wedding day!

These two had their engagement photos and will have their wedding at Cantigny! Love that we'll get to build more memories at this stunning spot!
